Medication Management
Our providers are trained and skilled in the art of psychopharmacology.
In collaboration with you, we will match your symptoms and specific needs to the medications used to treat your condition.
If you and your provider agree that medications are indicated, your provider will discuss with you all of the medication options that are reasonably available to treat your current condition.
I am new to MM, are there any risks involved?
Our providers will thoroughly access risks, benefits, and side effects of medication during your sessions. Our providers are here to answer all your questions and ease any anxiety surrounding the use of medications.
How do I know the medication is working?
At every visit, our providers will monitor you closely by assessing the response the medication is having on your symptoms. Both the provider and you will engage in a detailed discussion that includes determining whether or not the treatment needs adjustment such as increasing or lowering the dose or perhaps switching to a different medication. Regardless, our providers are with you every step of the way.
Will there be withdrawal symptoms should I choose to stop medication?
Withdrawal symptoms typically occur when medications are abruptly stopped. Our providers at New Beginnings Behavioral Health are trained at helping you discontinue medications and managing withdrawal side effects
Will I need to pay out of pocket for my medications?
Most insurance plans cover medications. If your insurance does not pay for medication, our providers will work with your insurance company to take care of the prior authorization required to approve a medication. For clients paying out of pocket, our providers will work with you in selecting medications that meet your financial needs. We recommend discount programs such as GoodRx and other savings programs from manufacturers.
